Jashore: A total of 249 examinees remained absent in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination in the Bangladesh and Global Studies subject under the Jashore Education Board today. The examination was held peacefully in a copying-free environment from 10 am to 1 pm at 299 centres across 10 districts of Khulna division.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Board Controller of Examinations Prof. Dr. Md. Abdul Matin reported that out of 36,252 registered candidates, 36,003 appeared in the examination while 249 remained absent. He provided a detailed breakdown of attendance across various districts, highlighting the different numbers of absentees.
In Khulna district, 6,121 students attended the examination while 31 were absent. In Bagerhat, 2,557 students appeared with 19 absent, and in Satkhira, 3,462 students attended with 20 absent. Kushtia district saw 8,136 candidates take part in the examination, with 67 absentees. Chuadanga had 2,317 students appear, with nine absent.
In Meherpur, 1,446 students attended the examination, with 25 absent. In Jashore district, 5,640 students participated, with 35 absentees. Additionally, in Narail district, 1,359 candidates appeared with 10 absentees, and in Magura, 1,706 students attended, with 10 remaining absent, according to the board controller.
