Khulna: Dengue infections continue to rise in Khulna Division, with 243 new patients admitted to hospitals in the past 24 hours, from 8am Saturday to 8am Sunday, according to the latest report from the health department.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, of the newly admitted patients, 194 were admitted to government hospitals and 49 to private hospitals. One more dengue-related death was reported during the period, raising the death toll in the division to 20 this year.
Since January 1, a total of 5,565 dengue cases have been reported in Khulna Division, highlighting the growing concern over the spread of the disease in the region. Health officials are urging the public to take preventive measures to curb the spread of dengue as hospitals continue to receive new cases daily.
