Dhaka: Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Adviser Dr Asif Nazrul announced that the remaining 24 Bangladeshi nationals, imprisoned for their involvement in the July uprising in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), will be released soon.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dr Asif Nazrul expressed his gratitude and shared the news through a post on his verified Facebook account. He acknowledged the successful efforts led by the Honorable Chief Adviser, which have resulted in the impending release of these individuals. Dr Nazrul expressed his appreciation for the dedicated work of the Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Bangladesh Embassy in the UAE.
Previously, in September last year, all 188 Bangladeshis held in the UAE were released following a direct request by Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus.
