23 Bangladeshi Cricketers Set Sights on SA T20 Auction

Johannesburg: A total of 23 Bangladeshi cricketers have registered their names for the upcoming SA T20 tournament auction, scheduled to be held in Johannesburg on September 9. The tournament authority has not released the names of these Bangladeshi players.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a total of 782 players have entered their names for the auction in South Africa's flagship T20 tournament. However, only 84 slots are available, making the competition fierce among the registered players.

The tournament management disclosed that the player pool includes 328 players from South Africa, 153 from England, 50 from the West Indies, 40 Pakistanis, 36 Sri Lankans, 27 Afghans, 24 Americans, 13 Indians, 11 each from the UAE and Scotland, 10 from Zimbabwe, Ireland, and the Netherlands, 9 from New Zealand, 5 from Namibia, and 3 each from Australia, Nepal, and Canada. Additionally, 1 player each from Cambodia, Uganda, and Malaysia has also registered.

This fourth edition of the tournament is slated to run from December 26, 2025, to January 25, 2026, promising exciting cricket action for fans and players alike.
