22 dengue patients hospitalized in last 24 hrs in Khulna

A total of 22 dengue patients were admitted to the Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH) and Khulna General Hospital in the city during the last 24 hours till 8 am today.

Some seventeen patients were released from the hospitals during the period, Dr Suhash Ranjan Halder, residential medical officer (RMO) of the KMCH told BSS today.

Along with the previously admitted dengue patients, a total of 72 dengue patients, on July 26, 2023, are taking treatment while no one has died in the last 24 hours.

A total of 323 dengue patients have taken treatment while 247 patients were released and 4 died since January 1, 2023.

While visiting the KMCH today, this reporter found that the dengue patients are taking treatment at different wards of the medicine department. Some patients were being taken treated in bed and some were on the floor with mosquito net.

Talking to BSS, Dr Robiul Hossain, Director of KMCH said that at least 10 to 12 dengue patients are admitted to the hospital and eight to nine patients are released every day.
