Cumilla: Police arrested 21 members of a juvenile gang 'King Square' with country-made weapons while preparing for a showdown in the city on Friday evening. They were apprehended at the KTCC ground in the city's housing area, according to Mohinul Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Cumilla Kotwali Model Police Station.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the group had announced their intentions for a showdown in the area via social media platform Facebook. Acting on this information, a police team from the Kotwali Model Police Station conducted a drive at the location and arrested the 21 gang members.
During the operation, various local weapons, including chapatis, Chinese axes, hockey sticks, and iron rods, were seized from the group's possession. The detainees are reported to be between the ages of 16 and 20.
A case has been filed in connection with the incident, and the arrested individuals were produced before the court today.
