Vivo redefines smartphone charging capabilities through Fast Charge Technology

vivo, a premier technology brand, has provided the finest of technical breakthroughs to the people of Bangladesh investing heavily battery capabilities such as FastCharge technology to reach the stage of product realisation and getting this technology into the hands of consumers.

Some smartphones also embody vivo Energy Guardian (VEG) technology, for users to enjoy efficient energy management as the smartphone will consume energy depending on the capacity of the battery.

vivo’s most notable contributions for FastCharge can be experienced through V Series and Y Series* smartphones.

FastCharge Technology has been hailed as a technical marvel of our time. It is a relatively new technique that allows users to charge their mobile devices at a considerably faster rate than traditional charging methods. This is made possible by an increase in the number of volts and amperes available in chargers, as well as smart devices with large capacities. For instance, this method is capable of charging a 3,000mAh battery at 50% in just half an hour. It is one of the few systems that help extend the life of the batteries of our smartphones.

The fast-charging smartphones have higher peak voltage capacity batteries and specially designed ICs, so it carries high voltages with ease. These smartphones generally have a peak voltage capacity of 80 per cent which is the reason fast charging is most effective when the battery percentage is below 50 percent.

Technically, the entire fast charging process is divided into two phases. The constant phase where the battery voltage steadily increases to reach the highest peak voltage capacity which is then followed by the trickle stage, where the voltage drops down to fully charge the battery.

The voltage dropdown keeps the battery safe from overheating issues and also extends its lifespan. With the fast-charging technology constantly improving, the future definitely seems more exciting with it.

Bribery case: HC to hear ex-DIG Mizan’s appeal seeking acquittal

The High Court on Wednesday accepted for hearing the appeal of suspended Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Mizanur Rahman seeking acquittal in a bribery case.

The single bench of Justice Md Mostafizur Rahman passed the order.

At the same time, the court fixed April 13 for hearing his bail plea.

Barrister Mahbub Shafiq appeared for Mizan in the court while Lawyer Khurshid Alam Khan for the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) and Deputy Attorney General AKM Amin Uddin Manik represented the state.

Earlier on Monday, Mizan appealed to the High Court seeking acquittal in the case.

On February 23, Dhaka Special Court-4 judge Sheikh Najmul Alam pronounced the judgment in this case.

The court sentenced ACC director Khandaker Enamul Basir to eight years imprisonment with Tk 80 lakh fine and Mizan to three years.

Basir was sentenced three years jail term for bribery and five years jail term under money laundering act but he will have to spend five years in prison as the two punishments will be served simultaneously, said the court.

DIG Mizan was an additional commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). He was withdrawn on January 9, 2019 following the allegation of threatening a female news presenter of a private television channel.

He had also reportedly married a woman forcibly and tortured her. Mizan allegedly picked the 25-year-old woman up in July, 2017 and then forcibly married her.

He had also implicated her in a false case whereby she was arrested and remained in jail for three weeks.

On June 24 in 2019, ACC director Monjur Morshed filed the case against DIG Mizan, his wife Sohelia Anar Ratna, nephew sub-inspector Mahmudul Hasan and younger brother Mahbubur Rahman.

According to the case statement, the ACC found that DIG Mizan concealed information of wealth worth Tk 3.7 crore in his wealth statement.

Then director of ACC Enamul Basir was made the investigation officer in the case.

During the investigation DIG Mizan accused Basir of claiming Tk 40 lakh as bribe for acquitting him from the charges.

Following the allegation, another ACC director Monjur Morshed was made the investigation officer in the case, withdrawing Basir.

A three-member probe body was formed led by ACC director Sheikh Mohammad Fanafillah to look into the allegations of bribery.

On July 16, 2019, Sheikh Mohammad Fanafillah filed the case over the bribery scandal against Mizan and Basir.

On April 16, 2020, a Dhaka court indicted the two and directed the official beginning of the trial in this case.

Traffic jam may spread to upazilas thanks to development: Minister

If Awami League remains in power for another five years, you will see traffic jam even in upazilas, said LGRD Minister Md Tajul Islam on Wednesday.

Since the Awami League came to power in 2009, the country’s economic development has been going on and so private cars have increased on the roads, he said.

He came up with the remarks in response to a criticism of BNP MP Harunur Rashid over traffic congestion in the capital.

Participating in the discussion on the Zila Parishad (Amendment) Bill-2022, Harun said, “Dhaka has become a static city at present. You (Awami League) is in power for fifteen years in a row, but Dhaka city is now in a sorry state. ”

He said Dhaka city has become an unlivable city due to noise pollution, air pollution, water pollution, mosquito menace and catastrophe in waste management.

He said unplanned urbanization is going to turn not only Dhaka but the whole of Bangladesh into an uninhabitable country.

Harun said that it takes three hours to go to the Secretariat from home. Fasting people cannot come to their homes to break their fast during Iftar time due to huge traffic on roads.

“When Tarabi’s prayers are offered in the mosques, the prayers are being interrupted due to bite of mosquitoes.”

Harun wanted to know what steps the government has taken to reduce such sufferings of people.

“If Allah saves Awami League for another term, then you will see that there will be traffic jam even in the upazilas,” he expressed his high hopes.

Tajul Islam said that everyone is moving to Dhaka as people are becoming self-sufficient financially. This has happened all over the world including in London, Tokyo and Kolkata.

“They have managed it. We are also working on it. The Prime Minister has given instructions. I was made the president of Detailed Area Plan. I am considering many issues there.”

Vivo Y33s 4G Review: Do features accompany premium look?

According to Canalys, Vivo is currently the top fourth phone brand in the global 5G smartphone market. While they are one of the dominant companies in the 5G smartphone industry, the brand also continues offering top-notch 4G phones at a budget price. That being said, Vivo Y33s 4G is a new addition to the market. With 8GB/128GB, 5000 mAh battery, and 2408×1080 FHD+ resolution, Vivo Y33s launched in Bangladesh on March 31, 2022. Let’s find out more about Vivo Y33s from this review.

Key Features of Vivo Y33s

Design

The flat, big-screen may make the phone feel bulky; however, it weighs around 182 grams. But, adding a thin phone case may reduce the bulk feel. The right side of the Y33s contains three buttons, including a volume rocker and a power button. The power button also has a fingerprint sensor. The SIM card tray atop the phone is easily accessible for SIM cards. It can hold two nano-SIM cards as well as one microSD memory card.

The Vivo Y33 is mainly made of plastic and feels like plastic whenever you touch it. So, using it without a back cover will surely result in some unwanted scratches.

The 3.5-mm headphone port and power input are found at the bottom of the phone, and the USB-C charging port and speaker grille can be found there too.

Performance

Equipped with a MediaTek Helio G80, the Vivo Y33s has excellent overall performance. It runs apps without issue while simultaneously scrolling across many different news feeds. However, it may become slow if a lot of apps are open in the background and as notifications pile up.

Further, Vivo Y33s’ gaming performance is limited to casual games, and heavy games will result in a lower graphics quality. The phone comes with 8GB and 4 GB RAM options. So, higher RAM will undoubtedly boost the performance.

Display

A pleasant addition to the Y33s is the Full HD-resolution screen. Smartphones with similar specs to the Y33’s don’t typically come with high-definition displays, so these may already be an improvement for one of these phones. This IPS display has great viewing angles and is quite good at reproducing colors, too. Hence, this is satisfying compared to the 720p displays from the competitors.

Although the screen feels soft to me, it is a bit fuzzy when you use it outdoors as it can be a bit of a challenge for you to understand the usual view without distorting it.

Overall, the display is good for people who have long Commute rugs because it gives them the opportunity to watch Netflix shows or gaming games without.

Camera

Vivo Y33s comes with a 50 Megapixel main camera and a 2MP+2MP camera, which is the prominent selling feature of the phone. The Samsung CMOS image sensor with a 1/2.76″ sensor size, a wide f/1.8 aperture lens, and 0.64μm pixel size is the type of camera that many users have given positive feedback about.

The AI-controlled camera has a 12.5-megapixel resolution that combines four pixels into one image and works great on low-light performance. Further, the 50-megapixel mode is available when the camera is set to a high sensitivity level. The camera also has scene recognition that applies the best settings and turns on or off the HDR feature.

With the right lighting, this camera can take good images that look great. Capturing a reasonable amount of detail, with some minor adjustments on Snapseed, is where your photos get their own set of tools to help you capture a perfect photo. You can adjust saturation, sharpening, and more to make sure your photos are dramatic in the right place.

The front camera is 16 MP to take selfies. The aperture for the front cam is f/2.0, and the rare aperture is f/1.5 (50MP), f/2.4 (2MP), and f/2.4 (2MP).

Connectivity, Sound Quality, and Security

The Vivo Y33s provide fast internet speed with a 4G LTE network. Further, the phone also supports 5GHz Wi-Fi networks. It also comes with USB Type-C for wired connectivity. The Bluetooth 5.0 technology allows you to prompt Bluetooth connectivity. Further, the phone supports GPS, OTG, and FM. On the earpiece, voice calls sound clear, while the loudspeaker may not sound good. So, you should try listening to music or watching videos via earphones.

Battery

The Vivo Y33s is equipped with 5000 mAh that can last about 2 days after a single charge and normal usage. On the PCMark Battery Life Test 2.0, the battery life is 16 hours and 43 minutes. The test indicates the battery longevity while simulating real-world tasks such as playing videos, web browsing, pictures, etc.

The phone may take around 2 hours and 35 minutes for a full charge. However, if you charge using an 18W charger, it may take 35 minutes.

Official Price of Vivo Y33s 4G in Bangladesh

The Vivo Y33s 4G’s 8GB/128GB variant is officially available in Bangladesh at BDT 20,990. However, the price is subject to change depending upon circumstances.

Final Words

The Vivo Y33s 4G is an excellent smartphone for taking photos, streaming videos and browsing social media feeds. Its cameras are great for taking selfies during the day and viewing videos at night, and it has a screen with a large display and long battery life.

Nevertheless, its gaming performance isn’t up to par for the price. It can run popular games smoothly but with poor graphics quality.

Smartphones are designed to be used specifically by certain groups of people. The Vivo Y33s is designed to be used in particular by photographers, for media consumption, and for long battery life.
