20 Arrested on Various Charges in Rajshahi Under ‘Operation Devil Hunt’

Rajshahi: The Joint forces along with Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) arrested 20 persons on various cases including one suspect under “Operation Devil Hunt” here in the last 24 hours. Along with the regular drive, the joint forces also apprehended one individual on charges related to an attack on an anti-discrimination movement, explosions, terrorism, and other activities under the same operation.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the arrestee under “Operation Devil Hunt” is identified as Jubo League activist M Hossen Ali, 36, son of Sultan Ali from Chandipur of Rajpara police station in the district. Apart from this significant arrest, the RMP also detained 19 individuals during their routine operations.



Among the arrested, eight had outstanding warrants, one was involved in a drug-related case, and the remaining ten were apprehended on various other charges. RMP spokesperson and additional deputy commissioner (media) Sabina Yasmin confirmed the news.
