20.1% Increase in Remittance Inflow Recorded in Early November

Dhaka: Inflow of remittances witnessed a year-on-year growth of 20.1 percent reaching US$754 million in the eight days of November, according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued today. Last year, during the same period, the country’s remittance inflow was $628 million.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the July to November 08, 2025 period of the current fiscal year, expatriates sent remittances totaling $10,903 million. This represents an increase compared to the $9,566 million sent during the same period of the previous fiscal year.



The increase in remittance inflow highlights the growing contribution of expatriates to the national economy. This trend is crucial for maintaining the foreign exchange reserves and supporting various development initiatives in the country.
