Dhaka: An examiner of public examinations will face two years of imprisonment if they evaluate answer scripts through unauthorized individuals.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Dhaka Education Board announced today that the answer sheets of public exams are considered confidential documents.
In a notice signed by the Controller of Examinations of the Dhaka Education Board, it was stated that maintaining the confidentiality of the answer scripts is a sacred duty of the chief examiners and examiners. The notice emphasized that it is a punishable offense under Section 10 of the Examination Conduct Act 1980 for anyone other than the designated chief examiner or examiner to fill out or evaluate the answer sheets.
The notice further explained that if this offense is proven, the concerned examiner would be subject to a two-year imprisonment, a fine, or both. The board has advised all examiners to personally evaluate the answer scripts and ensure the confidentiality of the public examination sheets.
