2 Held with Ganja, Phensidyl in Narsingdi

Narsingdi: Members of Detective Branch (DB) of police have arrested two persons with 120 kilograms of ganja and 130 bottles of Phensidyl from Mahmudabad on the Dhaka-Sylhet Highway in Raipura upazila of the district early hours of today. The arrestees were identified as Shafiqul Islam, 35, son of Abu Taher from Shoabai Purbo Para, and Mosiur Alam, 22, son of Shahnoor Rahman from Gandhabpur of Madhabpur police station in Habiganj district.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the arrests were made following a tip-off received by the DB police. Acting on this information, a team from DB police conducted a raid in the area, leading to the capture of the two individuals along with the illegal drugs. Narsingdi Superintendent of Police (SP) Md. Abdul Hannan confirmed the operation and the seizure of the substances.



Legal action has been initiated against the suspects in connection with the possession and trafficking of the abusive drugs.
