Dhaka: Two chicken traders were killed when a truck hit a chicken-laden van in the Motijheel area of the capital early Tuesday. The deceased were identified as Md Ripon, 45, son of Shakhawat Hossain, and Md Sultan, 50, son of Jamshed Ali, both from Sherpur district.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the accident occurred around 4 am as the truck, described as speeding, collided with the chicken-laden van while taking a U-turn in front of Bangabhaban. The impact left both traders injured.
The injured traders were subsequently taken to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where medical professionals declared them dead, as reported by Inspector Faruk, who is in charge of the DMCH police camp.
