Two youths were killed as an unidentified vehicle mowed them with their motorcycle in the Kakdanga area of Fakirhat upazila on the Khulna-Dhaka highway Wednesday, police said.
The deceased were identified as Shakir Sardar, 20, of Kakdanga village, and Sadik, 20, of the same area.
The accident occurred in the afternoon as Shakir and Sadik were going to Rupsha to attend a wedding, Md Alimuzzaman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Fakirhat Police Station, said. “The vehicle ran over them and did not stop.”
Shakir and Sadik died from the impact of the crash, the OC added.
