Dhaka: The 1st Division Chess League, organized by the Bangladesh Chess Federation, is scheduled to kick off on Sunday, July 13, at the hall-room of the Bangladesh Chess Federation (BCF). According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the draw determining the number assignments for the participating teams will take place on Saturday, July 12, at the BCF. A total of 12 teams are slated to compete in this league. The participating teams have been urged to submit their team names and register their players by Friday, July 11. The league will follow a round-robin format, with each team playing against all other teams. The top two teams from the league will earn a spot in the Premier Division Chess League, while the bottom two teams in the final ranking will be relegated to the Second Division Chess League.
