Dhaka: The Health Department has confirmed 19 new COVID-19 infections in the country over a 24-hour period from 8 am Wednesday to 8 am Thursday.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a total of 412 samples were tested during this time, yielding a positivity rate of 4.61 percent, as reported by a statement from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Despite the new infections, no fatalities were recorded due to COVID-19 during this period. The cumulative death toll since the pandemic began in 2020 remains at 29,518.
