Dhaka: The district administration today distributed financial assistance to 19 martyrs’ families of the 2024 July Uprising. Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mohsin Uddin handed over savings certificates worth Taka 10 lakh to each of the martyrs’ families at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner’s office this afternoon.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the ceremony was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md Ershad Uddin, Additional District Magistrate Suprabhat Chakma, and other officials. Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mohsin Uddin announced that the district has a total of 31 martyrs’ families. Each family is set to receive savings certificates worth Taka 30 lakh in phases. In this initial phase, 19 families have received the financial assistance.
