Dhaka: Inflow of remittances witnessed a year-on-year growth of 19.3 percent, reaching $1,132 million in the first 10 days of September, according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued today. Last year, during the same period, the country’s remittance inflow was recorded at $949 million.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the period from July to September 10, 2025, of the current fiscal year, expatriates sent remittances amounting to $6,032 million. This marks an increase from the $5,087 million recorded during the same period of the previous fiscal year, indicating a robust growth in remittance inflow.

The increase in remittance inflow is significant for Bangladesh’s economy, as it plays a crucial role in supporting the country’s foreign exchange reserves. The positive growth trend reflects the resilience and contribution of the Bangladeshi diaspora, who continue to support their families and the nation through remittances.
