Barishal: Eighteen dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals across the country during the last 24 hours till this morning.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) stated that during the period, 11 patients were hospitalized in Barishal division, one in Khulna, two in Dhaka division, two in Dhaka North, and two were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka South.
The total number of dengue cases has risen to 2,044 this year, with 14 deaths reported. In comparison, last year saw a significant increase in cases, with a total of 101,214 cases and 575 deaths from the disease, as noted in the statement.
