Lakshmipur: Water Resources Minister Md Shahiduddin Chowdhury Anee emphasized the urgency of overcoming 17 years of deprivation and lack of development in the country. He stated that the people had suffered long enough and it was time to change the situation. The minister assured that the current government is committed to ensuring that no one remains deprived of development benefits.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Anee made these remarks during a meeting with leaders and activists of the newly formed Chandragonj Upazila at his residence in Lakshmipur town. He took the opportunity to congratulate Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and expressed his gratitude for the declaration of Chandragonj as a new upazila.
Addressing the party leaders and activists, Anee highlighted that the formation of Chandragonj Upazila is evidence that the BNP can ensure development when it is committed. He urged everyone to work collaboratively for the greater good of the country and the local community.
