17-Year-Old Bangladeshi Spinner Passes Away

Dhaka: Promising spinner Mohorom Hossain Mohin passed away last night at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital. He was 17. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced his death in a press release and expressed condolences.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the BCB expressed deep sorrow at Mohin's passing and extended condolences to his family. Mohin, a left-arm spinner, was a registered player under the BCB's Age Group Tournament Committee and had represented the Dhaka Division South Under 18 Team.

Mohin was scheduled to play in the national-level Young Tigers Under-18 tournament in Cox's Bazar from Monday. However, after experiencing acute stomach pain, he was taken to Dhaka for treatment. In recent competitions, Mohin captured attention by claiming 16 wickets in five matches at the divisional level.

Mohin's first namaz-e-janaza was held in the Hasnabad area of the capital on Sunday morning. Following a second namaz-e-janaza in Gournadi, Barisal, he was laid to rest in the family graveyard.
