Jatrabari: Jatrabari police of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 17 people involved in various criminal activities during a special operation conducted across the police station areas of the city on Wednesday.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, DMP's media and public relations division issued a press release stating that the Jatrabari police conducted special drives in different crime-prone areas and successfully apprehended the individuals.
The press release detailed that the arrested individuals are identified as Shukkur Ali (33), Asma Begum (55), Tania Akter (25), Md Jibon (36), Riazul Islam Riaz alias Kalia Riaz (42), Md Kamrul Hasan (25), Md Saiful Hossain (20), Md Jamil Mia Dolon (35), Md Mintu alias Nazmul (24), Sajib Mostafa (20), Md Uzzal Hawlader, Md Rofiq (28), Md Sajjad Noor (20), Md Kabir Hawlader, Shamim Matubbar (27), Md Sajib (21), and Sagar Ahmed (37).
The DMP stated that the police have taken necessary legal formalities and produced the arrestees before the court.
