17.9 Percent Growth in Remittance Inflow Till September 20

Dhaka: Inflow of remittances witnessed a year-on-year growth of 17.9 percent reaching $1.903 billion in the first 20 days of September, according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued today.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, last year, during the same period, the country’s remittance inflow was $1.614 billion. During the period from July to September 20, 2025, of the current fiscal year, expatriates sent remittances amounting to $6.803 billion. This is a notable increase from the $5.752 billion recorded during the same period of the previous fiscal year.
