Dhaka: Inflow of remittances witnessed a year-on-year growth of 17.1 percent, reaching US$13,287 million during the period from July to December 2 of the current fiscal year (FY26), according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank issued here today. The amount was $11,344 million during the same period of the previous fiscal year 2024-25.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the first two days of December, the inflow of remittances saw a year-on-year growth of 20.1 percent, reaching US$248 million. Last year, during the same period, the country's remittance inflow was $207 million.
