1,635 Cases Filed Against Vehicles for Traffic Rules Violation

Dhaka: The traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has filed a total of 1,635 cases against motor vehicles for violating traffic rules in the capital. The DMP has been conducting a campaign against traffic violations in the city aimed at bringing the traffic system under proper management, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Media and Public Relations Division) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Muhammad Talebur Rahman said.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a press release issued by the DMP Media and Public Relations Division stated that the DMP Traffic Division filed these cases on March 12 through a regular drive against traffic rules breakers. The release detailed that 235 motor vehicles were dumped and 74 vehicles were wrecked during the campaign against traffic rules violation.



The statement further emphasized that these drives against traffic rule breakers would continue to ensure discipline on Dhaka’s streets.
