Dhaka: In the ongoing nationwide anti-crime crackdown, 1,542 more crime suspects were apprehended in the last 24 hours.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the press release of the Police Headquarters revealed that 1,109 of the detainees were captured in connection with previous cases and outstanding warrants, while 433 others were detained on various criminal charges.
During the operation, law enforcement officials seized one SMG, one foreign pistol, two magazines, 61 rounds of rifle bullets, and eight rounds of pistol bullets, indicating a significant success in the crackdown on illegal arms and criminal activity.
