Jhenaidah: At least 15 people were injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck at Maheshpur upazila of the district this morning. The accident occurred around 6:30 am in front of the Tushar Ceramics factory on the Kaliganj-Jibannagar road when a bus from ‘Golden Line Paribahan’ collided with a truck, injuring 15 people, including bus passengers.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the injured were taken to various hospitals for treatment. The truck driver and helper, who were seriously injured, have been transferred to Jessore General Hospital. Maheshpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Investigation Sajjadur Rahman Sajjad confirmed the incident.
