Dhaka: The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) today confirmed 14 new Covid-19 infections in the country over a 24-hour period from 8 am Wednesday to 8 am Thursday.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a total of 281 samples were tested during this time, yielding a positivity rate of 4.98 percent. However, no fatalities were reported from COVID-19 during this period.
The cumulative death toll since the pandemic began in 2020 remains at 29,524. The first case of coronavirus was detected in the country on March 8, 2020, and the first death occurred ten days later, on March 18, 2020.
