14 Government Hospitals Across Bangladesh Renamed.

Dhaka: The government has officially renamed 14 government medical institutions, including medical colleges, dental colleges, and healthcare institutions across Bangladesh, aligning them with their respective districts. This decision was announced in a gazette notification signed by M A Akmal Hossain Azad, the Senior Secretary to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, significant changes include the renaming of the Sheikh Hasina National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute in Dhaka to the National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute. Similarly, the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College Hospital in Faridpur will now be known as Faridpur Medical College and Hospital. In Gopalganj, the Sheikh Fazilatunnessa Mujib Eye Hospital and Training Institute has been renamed as Gopalganj Eye Hospital and Training Institute.

Additional changes include the renaming of the Sheikh Hasina Medical College and Hospital in Tangail to Tangail Medical College and Hospital, and the Sh
eikh Russel National Gastro Liver Institute and Hospital to the National Gastro Liver Institute and Hospital. The Sheikh Lutfar Rahman Dental College and Hospital in Gopalganj has been changed to Gopalganj Dental College and Hospital, while the Sheikh Sayera Khatun Medical College and Hospital and the Sheikh Sayera Khatun Trauma Center, both in Gopalganj, have been renamed as Gopalganj Medical College and Hospital and Gopalganj Trauma Center, respectively.

The Sirajganj 250-Bed Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib General Hospital is now the Sirajganj 250-Bed General Hospital. In Jamalpur, the Sheikh Hasina Medical College and Hospital has been renamed Jamalpur Medical College and Hospital, and the Shaheed Sheikh Abu Naser Specialized Hospital in Khulna is now the Khulna Specialized Hospital. Additionally, the Bangabandhu (Daldalia) Union Health Sub-Center in Kishoreganj has been renamed to Daldalia Union Health Sub-Center.
