131 Awami League Leaders and Activists Arrested in Ongoing Crackdown in Capital

Dhaka: In the ongoing crackdown against troublemakers throughout the capital city, Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested 131 more leaders and activists of the Awami League (AL) in the last 24 hours. All of them were arrested for their alleged link to disrupt the law and order by bringing out flash processions, said a DB press release.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, eight of the total arrestees were captured from Uttara, 24 from Gulsha, four from Khilkjet, three from Cantonment, six from Dhanmondi, six from New Market, three from Shahbag, eight from Mohammadpur, one from Hatirjheel, six from Paltan, 40 from Motijheel Police and 22 people from Wari Thana areas. Legal actions are being taken against the detainees.
