Dhaka: Uttara West Thana Police conducted a daylong special drive at different parts of the area and arrested 13 persons on various charges. Deputy Commissioner (Media and Public Relations) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Muhammad Talebur Rahman confirmed the information, said a press release here today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the arrested individuals were identified as Md. Badiuzzaman alias Kazim Uddin, 30, Md. Tanzil, 19, Monirul Islam, 42, Md. Jahangir Kabir Sadi, 41, Md. Iqbal Hossain Patwary, 43, Md. Suman Islam alias Robel, 26, Md. Mostakin, 25, Potla Babu, 25, Md. Shawon, 19, Md. Bahar, 25, Md. Sajib, 20, Md. Arif, 20 and Md. Saidul, 20.
Police sources stated that the drive was executed in various locations under the jurisdiction of Uttara West Police Station, resulting in arrests linked to different criminal activities. The detainees have subsequently been sent to the court.
Police have indicated that similar operations will continue to ensure law and order are upheld in the area.
