Dhaka: The police have so far arrested 12,607 crime suspects and seized 156 firearms in the nationwide 'Operation Devil Hunt Phase-2' over the past 19 days.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Police Headquarters reported that 511,275 motorcycles and 571,468 vehicles were searched during the operation. Additionally, 6,622 motorcycles were seized for not having valid documents.
The operation started on December 13 last, the sources said.
