Barishal: A total of 120 dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in the country during the past 24 hours till this morning.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during this period, 69 patients were hospitalized in Barishal division, 11 in Chattogram, three in Dhaka division, eight in Dhaka North, 20 in Dhaka South, three in Khulna, one in Mymensingh, and five were admitted to different hospitals in Rajshahi, as stated in a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) today.
The total number of dengue cases has risen to 4,240 this year, with 23 deaths reported from the disease. In comparison, last year the total number of cases reached 101,214, with 575 deaths from dengue disease, the statement added.
