12 Platoons of BGB Patrolling in Capital to Enhance Security

Dhaka: Twelve platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have been continuing its patrolling in the capital city to strengthen security measures and maintain law and order. The government deployed the paramilitary personnel in the capital to maintain law and order amid incidents of vehicle torching by miscreants.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Shariful Islam, Public Relations Officer of the BGB headquarters, stated that 12 platoons of BGB have been stationed in Dhaka. He mentioned that the paramilitary force has been patrolling at key streets of the city including Hotel Intercontinental, Mymensingh Road, Mirpur Road, Rokeya Sarani, Airport, Abdullahpur, Kakrail, Shishu Academy, the High Court area, and other major roads.

Earlier, the government deployed 14 platoons of BGB in Dhaka and its adjoining districts to maintain the law and order situation.
