Dhaka: Police arrested 12 suspected criminals during a special anti-crime drive conducted in Jatrabari Police Station area of the capital on Thursday. The arrestees are Mehedi, 22, Abdur Rahman Hridoy, 26, Zahid Hasan Siam, 20, Suman, 19, Shahid, 18, Rabbi, 23, Imon, 20, Yusuf, 18, Shakil, 24, Shahin, 21, Shamim alias Shamu, 22, and Anik Hasan, 25. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, police said the detainees include suspects wanted in regular criminal cases as well as individuals allegedly involved in various offences, as per a press release issued today by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). Legal proceedings against the arrested individuals are underway.
