Chattogram: The Detective Branch of Chattogram Police has detained 12 individuals suspected of being involved in the murder of Jahedul Alam in Satkania. Among those apprehended, Md. Azad confessed to his involvement under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure during a session before a judicial magistrate. Chattogram District Superintendent of Police Md. Masud Alam shared this information during a press briefing held earlier today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the list of arrested suspects includes Jashim Uddin (50), Zainal Abedin Manik (26), Md. Riduan (26), Md. Tipu (35), Abu Mazharul Islam Ifaz (20), Abdullah Al Tushar (30), Khorshed Alam alias Faruk (52), Md. Rabiul Hossain (21), Abul Kashem (38), Habibur Islam alias Habib (28), and Nur Mohammad (36).
The incident occurred on August 30 when a group attacked Jahedul with sharp weapons in the Notun Hat area under Satkania Police Station around 10pm, resulting in his immediate death. Following the tragic event, the victim's mother, Manowara Begum, filed a murder case at the Satkania Police Station.
