10 More Suspected Measles Patients Die in 24 Hours: DGHS

Dhaka: Ten more suspected measles patients died in 24 hours till 8 am on Tuesday morning, taking the total death toll to 128, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). During this period, 1,236 suspected measles cases were reported, said DGHS. Besides, 641 patients were admitted to different hospitals.



According to United News of Bangladesh, a total of 6,883 suspected patients have been hospitalised so far. Among them, 4,635 patients have recovered and been discharged from the hospitals. In the latest 24-hour period, Dhaka division recorded the highest number of suspected measles deaths with eight. Additionally, Dhaka district accounted for the highest district-level death toll during the period, with six deaths.



The DGHS reported that the total number of confirmed measles deaths between March 15 and April 7 stood at 21.
