Dhaka: Health officials today reported the detection of 10 fresh cases of dengue in the past 24 hours. "We recorded 10 fresh cases of dengue onslaughts in 24 hours ending at 8 am today," stated a spokesperson from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the breakdown of the new cases includes two hospitalised in Barishal division, two in Chattogram division, one in Dhaka division, one in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), and three in Khulna division, as per a DGHS statement.
Since the onset of dengue cases this year, Bangladesh has reported four fatalities and 1,910 infections. Last year, dengue claimed 413 lives and affected 102,861 individuals in the country. The previous year, in 2024, the disease resulted in 575 deaths and 101,214 infections.
