Fire broke out at a shoe factory near Ad-din Medical College Hospital in Jurain, Shyampur of the capital Sunday night.
“The fire started at 11:55pm, and seven firefighting units rushed to the spot within five minutes,” Md Raihan, station officer (media) of Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters, told UNB.
“The firefighters could tame the flames at 12:30am. No casualties were reported and the extent of damage could not be confirmed immediately. Also, the reasons for the fire mishap could not be known,” he added.
