Queen’s Baton to reach Dhaka from Sri Lanka on Thursday

The Queen’s Baton for the 22nd Commonwealth Games, scheduled for July 28 to August 8 in Birmingham, England will arrive in the capital on Thursday on a five-day tour of Bangladesh.

The Queen’s Baton travels all across the Commonwealth countries carrying the message from the Queen of the United Kingdom ahead of the Commonwealth Games.

Bangladesh Olympics Association (BOA) has chalked out a program for the visit of the Baton in Bangladesh.

It will arrive at the VIP Terminal of Hazrat Shah Jalal International Airport in Dhaka from Sri Lanka at 11:30 am on Thursday, then visit BKSP in Savar Friday morning at 10 am and finally it will be placed at the BOA Bhaban in Dhaka on Sunday (Jan 9) at 12 noon.
