Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday expressed deep shock at the death of Awami League Advisory Council member and former vice chairman of Bangladesh Bar Council Abdul Baset Majumder.
In a condolence message, Sheikh Hasina, also the president of Awami League, recalled with deep gratitude the contributions of Abdul Baset and his wholehearted legal support to mass people.
Abdul Baset, known as a “friend of lawyers”, was also former president and general secretary of Bangladesh Supreme Court Lawyers’ Association.
The Prime Minister prayed for the eternal salvation of the departed soul and expressed sympathy to his bereaved family members.
