The night is set to turn a bit colder as the temperature over the country may fall by two to four degree Celsius on Thursday, according to the met office.

However, the day temperature is likely to rise across the country, it said.

“Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country in the next 24 hours”, said Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) in its forecast commencing from 6pm on Thursday.

Moderate to thick fog over river basins and north-western part of the country and light to moderate fog may occur elsewhere over the country, it said.

In an outlook for the next two days the met office said the night temperature may fall further.

About the synoptic situation BMD said ridge of sub-continental high extends up to West Bengal and adjoining area while seasonal low lies over South Bay.

The lowest temperature of 9.6 degree Celsius in the country was recorded in Tetulia on Thursday while the highest temperature was recorded 26 degree Celsius in Cox’s Bazar.
