New Zealand bat first in series opener vs Bangladesh

New Zealand have won the toss and opted to bat first in the first match of the five-match T20I series against Bangladesh on Wednesday at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

New Zealand fielded two debutants in this game— Rachin Ravindra and Cole McConchie.Ravind ra is a batsman while Cole is an allrounder.

Bangladesh to miss the service of Tamim Iqbal as the ODI captain has been suffering from a knee injury for a while now.

However, Mushfiqur Rahim and Liton Das have made a comeback to the national side after missing out on the Australia series that has taken place before this series.

Bangladesh has previously faced New Zealand in 10 T20Is and lost all of them. In the last T20I series between these two teams which took place in New Zealand, Bangladesh lost 3-0.

This New Zealand side is missing some of their key players. They did not include any of their World Cup players in this series.
