“Bhalo khabo, bhalo thakbo nutrileaders” hunt competition, aimed at raising awareness on the importance of nutrition, will end Monday.

In the final phase of the competition, 12 best “nutrileaders” were selected. Six of them will get formal recognition tomorrow.

The online-based competition was arranged to encourage adolescent males and females to have nutritional foods.

Channel I is scheduled to telecast the concluding ceremony at 5pm Monday.

National Nutrition Services (NNS) and Switzerland-based international organisation Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) jointly organised the event.

Finding potential males and females aged 10-19 was the main objective of the competition.

Over 11,000 adolescent boys and girls registered for the event.

Divided into three phases, 415 participants made it to the second round. The final round was held on October 23.

Each phase covered different areas of food and nutrition. Questions were multiple-choice in the first round, and there was an e-learning course on nutrition in the second one.

As part of the course, the participants made a one-minute video titled “Your plan to ensure safe and nutritious food for all.” The final round included public speaking.

Nandalal Sutradhar, deputy programme manager of NNS, Shamsun Nahar Mohua, head of nutrition of Birdem Hospital, Farin Daulah, president of One Circle Welfare Organisation, were judges of the competition.

SM Mustafizur Rahman, line director of NNS, writer Anisul Haque, Rudaba Khondker, country director of GAIN Bangladesh, actor Arefin Shuvo, and Toslim Uddin Khan, deputy managing director of Social Marketing Company, were also present.
