A delegation of German development cooperation agency GIZ discussed the ongoing and future avenues of collaboration between Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) and them in the capital Wednesday.
They talked about facilitating further development of Bangladesh’s apparel industry, especially in environmental sustainability, social standard, productivity, capacity building.
The GIZ delegation was led by its Country Director Dr Angelika Fleddermann and she had a meeting with BGMEA President Faruque Hassan.
BGMEA Vice-President Miran Ali, Dr Michael Kolde, project manager of Programme for Sustainability in the Textile and Leather Sector – STILE at GIZ, Sarwat Ahmad, senior advisor at GIZ, and Md Manjur Morshed, senior advisor, communication component, STILE, Particip GmbH, were also present.
