Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen has expressed deep sorrow at the death of former Bangladesh Bank governor Khorshed Alam.
“Khorshed Alam, who was very close personally to me, played an important part in the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War,” the minister said.
Khorshed Alam, 86, died of age-related complications at a hospital in the capital Wednesday. Dr Momen extended sincerest condolences to his bereaved family.
