Member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Science and Technology Morshed Alam on Monday said Bangladesh’s economy has become stronger as the world’s strongest economies have receded.

“The establishment of 100 specialized economic zones across the country has made Bangladesh one of the most attractive destinations for global investors,” he said.

He said this while speaking on the 13th day of the 16-day “Bijoyer 50 Bochhor: Laal Sobujer Mohotshab” organized by FBCCI.

Speaking as the special guest, he said Bangladesh is now self-sufficient in food in 50 years of independence. Bangladesh is one of the top producing countries of fish, fruits and vegetables.

“This success is due to the strong leadership of the Prime Minister.”

On Monday, a dance festival was organized at the Hatirjheel Amphitheater in the capital, according to a press release.

Speaking on the occasion, FBCCI president Md. Jashim Uddin said that dance is an impeccable creation of Bengali culture. It showcases the way of life and culture of the people of Bengal.

“At one time performers had to learn dance on their own. But now the opportunity has increased. As the number of TV channels has increased, artists are getting opportunities to work.”

He mentioned that the Dance department has been opened in Dhaka University. From there, good artists will come out in the future.

“Through which the heritage of eternal Bengal will be transferred to the next generation.”

Minister of Textiles and Jute of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Golam Dastagir Gazi Bir Protik, MP was present as the chief guest at the event.

He thanked the FBCCI for organizing the festival on the occasion of the golden jubilee of the country’s Independence.

The minister said Bangladesh became independent because Bangabandhu was there.

“And since Bangladesh has become independent, it has been possible to hold this festival today.”

At the end of the brief speech of the guests, a pleasant Dance program was performed.
