BNP on Saturday announced fresh convening committees for its Barishal metropolitan city and south district units.
Moniruzzaman Farroque was made convener of a 42-member convening committee of Barishal city unit while Mir Jahidul Kabir Jahid its member secretary.
Mojibur Rahman Nantu was made convener of a 47-member convening committee of Barishal south district unit BNP while Akhtaer Hossain Talukder Mebul its member secretary.
The party high command approved the two committees, said a press release signed by party senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.
As part of the party’s move to stage a comeback in politics and wage a strong movement to force the government to hold the next polls under a non-party administration, BNP has long been overhauling the different units of the party and its associate bodies.
