Bangladesh’s new envoy to Iraq calls on the president

Bangladesh Ambassador to Iraq Fazlul Bari paid a courtesy call on President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban on Sunday.

President’s press secretary Joynal Abedin said the new ambassador sought the guidance and cooperation of the President in discharging his duties.

Saying ‘Iraq’s relations with Bangladesh are very good’, the president advised the new ambassador to work on developing bilateral relations with Iraq, including increasing trade and investment.

Secretary to the President’s Office Sampad Barua, Military Secretary Major General SM Salah Uddin Islam, Press Secretary Joynal Abedin and Secretary (attached) Wahidul Islam Khan were present on the occasion.
