Bangladesh vs Oman: Tigers bat first, with Soumya dropped, Naim in

In their second match of the T20 World Cup, Bangladesh captain Mahmudullah Riyad won the toss and opted to bat first against the hosts Oman on Tuesday.

Bangladesh made one change to the playing XI removing Soumya Sarkar to pave way for Mohammad Naim. It will be Naim’s World Cup debut.

In the first match, Bangladesh lost to Scotland by six runs. They will now have to win this game to make their way to the Super 12s alive.

If Bangladesh lose this match, Scotland and Oman will advance to the Super 12s of the T20 World Cup, and Bangladesh and Papua New Guinea will be eliminated.

I the other matches of Group B in Round 1, Oman and Scotland beat Papua New Guinea. With two wins in two matches, Scotland already put their one foot to the Super 12s.

Bangladesh playing XI: Liton Das, Mohammad Naim, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah Riyad(c), Afif Hossain, Nurul Hasan (w), Mahedi Hasan, Mohammad Saifuddin, Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman.

Oman (Playing XI): Jatinder Singh, Aqib Ilyas, Kashyap Prajapati, Zeeshan Maqsood(c), Mohammad Nadeem, Ayaan Khan, Sandeep Goud, Naseem Khushi(w), Kaleemullah, Fayyaz Butt, Bilal Khan.
