State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak today said the youths and students are now in the leading role in all inventions around the world.
He was addressing as chief guest an agreement signing ceremony at Hotel Sonargaon here.
Managing Director of Bangladesh High-Tech Park Hosne Ara Begum and Managing Director of Rangs Electronic Limited Z Ekram Hossain inked the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.
Under the agreement, 32 acres of land will be allocated to Rangs in Sylhet Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib High-Tech Park.
Palak said the government is establishing Business Incubation Centre on the university campuses for direct connection between the industry and innovators.
Renowned organization in the electronics sector- Rangs Electronics will invest 80 million US dollars on the 32 acres of land in the high-tech park. Employment opportunities for as many as 50,000 employees will be created with this investment.
Senior Secretary of the ICT Division NM Ziaul Alam, Chairman of Rangs Group Akhter Hossain, Project Director of Sylhet High-Tech Park Barrister Golam Sarwar Bhuiyan were present on the occasion.
